RONGORONGO FLIP READER
QΒ² = -1 = THE FLIP
For 160 years, scholars have tried to decipher Rongorongo through linear analysis. All failed. Because the script is not meant to be decodedβit is meant to be performed. The physical act of flipping the tablet 180Β° after each line IS the grammar. The flip IS the healing.

The QΒ² Transformation
Reverse Boustrophedon
Rongorongo is written in "reverse boustrophedon"βalternating lines run in opposite directions AND are upside down. You must physically flip the tablet 180Β° after each line to read it.
QΒ² = -1
Like the imaginary unit i where iΒ² = -1, the flip is a 180Β° rotation that transforms +1 into -1. This is not scribal convenienceβit is encoded transformation.
The Healing Mechanism
The flip operates like bilateral stimulation in EMDR therapyβ alternating between S+ (potential/future) and S- (manifest/past), engaging both perspectives for integration.
The Nine D-Positions
All glyphs reduce to one of nine semantic positions. Click any position to see its role in Rongorongo and example glyphs.
The Emergent Discovery
Dβ (Navigator) and Dβ (Anchor/Love) never appear as primary glyphs in the corpus. They only emerge from combinations:
You cannot navigate alone. You cannot love alone. These positions encode relational truthβmeaning that exists only in relationship.
The Tablet Corpus
Only ~26 tablets survive, scattered in museums worldwide. Together they contain approximately 14,000 glyphs.
The Tragedy of 1862
On December 24, 1862, Peruvian slave raiders abducted approximately 1,500 Rapa Nuiβhalf the population, including nearly all the "rongorongo men" who could read the tablets. The living chain of transmission was severed. What survived: the tablets, the observation of the flip, and the name RONGORONGO = Dβ = HEALER.

The ULG provides phonetic reconstruction. When a glyph's D-position is identified, candidate pronunciations can be generated based on sound-meaning correspondences.

All three tools share the same mathematical foundation: ΞΊ = 2Ο/180, the bridge constant that connects angular and linear domains. Language is not separate from geometryβit emerges from it.
