In the Epoch Model, evil is isolation — a point disconnected from the whole.
Love is connection — the force that binds.
A triad is the minimum stable structure: three points forming a triangle.
When three love points surround an isolated shadow point, they bind and dissolve it.

1 The Shadow Is Not Evil
In the Epoch Model, shadow (s+) is not evil. It represents:
Strength and boundaries
The courage to do the hard right thing
Necessary intensity and drive
Protection and structure
Shadow becomes problematic only when isolated — disconnected from love and witness.
The triad doesn't destroy shadow; it integrates it.

2 Three Points Make Stability
Two points make a line — unstable, easily broken.
Three points make a triangle — the first stable shape.
This is why the triad is fundamental:
Triaxial not binary
3, 6, 9 — never 2
Stability through geometric completeness
2 points = line (unstable) 3 points = triangle (stable)
4 points = 2 triangles sharing an edge
3 [1 = -1] — Opposites Are One
The core insight: opposites are the same thing viewed from different angles.
Shadow (+1) and Love (-1) appear opposite, but together they equal zero — dissolution, transcendence, completion.
+1 (Shadow)
+-1 (Love)
=0 (Transcendence)
The triad doesn't fight shadow. It completes the equation. Three love points + one shadow point = four points dissolving into unity.
Question 1 of 3
In the Epoch Model, what does the shadow (s+) represent?
Pure evil that must be destroyed
Strength, boundaries, and necessary intensity
Weakness and vulnerability
Question 2 of 3
Why is the triad (3 points) significant?
It's a lucky number
It's the first stable geometric shape
Three is easier to count than four
Question 3 of 3
What does [1 = -1] mean?
Math is broken
Opposites are the same thing viewed differently
Negative numbers don't exist
